Society Awards 2026 Outstanding Student Scholarship to Celeste Keyanna Sharpe, R.T.(R)(ARRT)
The Mississippi Radiological Society awarded the Outstanding Student of the Year Scholarship to Celeste Sharpe of Meridian, MS. Celeste Keyanna Sharpe is currently enrolled at the Nursing & Allied Campus of Hinds Community College in Jackson, MS and will graduate with an Associate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Degree on July 17, 2026. Celeste is a Dean’s List scholar who has maintained a 3.94 GPA while enrolled in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Hinds Community College. Celeste has worked as a radiology technologist throughout the school year to pay for her college expenses. Celeste was selected as the Outstanding Clinical Student by the clinical instructors, faculty and administration affiliated with the Hinds Community College Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Celeste has been actively involved in community service programs for the Hinds Community College Nursing & Allied Campus and has participated in many Showcase and recruitment activities for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Celeste stated, “Special thanks to Mrs. Wilson and Ms. Vanlandingham for this amazing school year and for believing in me. Shout out to all the clinical sites and wonderful sonographers who helped me on this journey. I am forever grateful and excited for what is to come.” Celeste Keyanna Sharpe is an Honor graduate of Meridian Community College where she received an Associate Degree of Radiologic Technology in 2025. Celeste Keyanna Sharpe, is the daughter of James Sharpe, and Granddaughter of Mary Sharpe of Meridian, MS.
